Hello, Kieran Harrod here, Kieran Harrod Graphics going to run you through a design I created for an app called FireHub to give you a better rationale background, actually, three or four minutes. I won’t keep you for long. Just a bit of insight into kind of what I was thinking when they developed it. Hopefully an approach that I can go through when I put these things together.
So without further ado, Pop over here to say five is it’s an app and it’s core for fire risk assessors to undertake risk assessments on buildings, corporate buildings, things like that. And it’s supposed to take the pain and the repetition out of these kind of fire reports and just make it easier to do them and come back to them and repeat them in future years and things like that. Not missing anything particular needs be ticked and just give a kind of simple, comprehensive place for to get those things done. So as such, I really wanted to focus on the the icon here that’s just switch over to here, the icon right here, which would be appearing on hopefully lots of professionals screens as the app is further developed, improved and becomes something that people regularly use. So, yeah, it was important to have the kind of icon.
Right. That’s what’s I’m be on screens and devices as people go to work as best sellers are kind of a big focus. And what I started doing was taking photos of matches lighting up. And hopefully on this one you can see the beginnings of the kind of shape the end of going with. And the reason I kind of went with it and obviously it was kind of refined and distilled into something a bit more iconic like and this is where they kind of thought they kind of came to them. And also I you kind of see some of the kind of colours is kind of here that I kind of started using. I want to avoid a little bit the kind of reds and yellows. So kind of this kind of deeper kind of blue colour that was kind of for me as the match kind of lit, probably similar to the chemicals, but just kind of give an interesting colour. And this kind of gradient becomes the kind of supporting element of the brand as we go forward.
So, yeah, and then we have kind of variations and you see the gradient can be dragged up and down depending on where you want to do, and darker both in and out. You kind of have a. A different kind of effect still keeps the brand maintained, but it gives more flexibility and this is really the kind of digital application where we can guarantee we’re looking at on RGB screen and we’re not worried about gradients of print. Some can be tricky, especially when things get small. So, yeah, we also developed a kind of secondary version, which is mostly used in print, but it’s used elsewhere as well, depending on what the applications need, it just a little less. Leaning on the gradient has the app icon.
As you can see, it kind of stands out on the home screen of a device after kind of repetition of fire and some sort of fire. So people know that’s what they’re clicking when they start their day looking at fire assessments. That’s the icon isolated. I want to get this kind of f this kind of natural kind of organic shape and it kind of links up to the fire really nicely and gives this come a sweep and creates a very unique kind of bespoke icon. And the the now that the business can really kind of claim and grab out of, I think it is sort of the kind of dragging on like out of RGB screens that we see and then just some applications playing around with it. And as we’re kind of going forward, both you can see things like this where the the gradient carries the way the brand without getting in the way of the kind of rest of the the data that is being used.
And then. Yep. And you can see that the gradient hopefully here we can move it around drag it around. So it has that kind of different effect to make some interesting things and things like business cards. And here we see the the print version being used on a fly on these glass is getting printed before too long and being used for events, things like that.
And yeah. So there you go. That’s just a quick brief overview or rationale of the five logo I’ve been carrying. Harad, I’d love to hear your comments and thoughts. Yeah, thanks for watching.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/6″ offset=”vc_hidden-xs”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row css_animation=”” row_type=”row” use_row_as_full_screen_section=”no” type=”grid” angled_section=”no” text_align=”left” background_image_as_pattern=”without_pattern” z_index=””][vc_column width=”1/6″ offset=”vc_hidden-xs”][/vc_column][vc_column width=”4/6″][vc_empty_space][vc_single_image image=”5792″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center” qode_css_animation=””][vc_empty_space][button size=”big_large_full_width” target=”_blank” hover_type=”default” text=”View full Case Study” link=”https://derby.graphics/portfolio_page/firehub-app-icon-and-logo/”][vc_empty_space][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/6″ offset=”vc_hidden-xs”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row css_animation=”” row_type=”row” use_row_as_full_screen_section=”no” type=”grid” angled_section=”no” text_align=”left” background_image_as_pattern=”without_pattern” css=”.vc_custom_1623661244271{padding-top: 66px !important;padding-bottom: 66px !important;background-color: #312783 !important;}” z_index=””][vc_column][vc_column_text]
